1) AMB is organising a chalet and all alumnus are invited.

Events: BBQ on the 5th Jun, 5pm

All alumnus are encouraged to attend as this will be a good chance to get closer and know our juniors. This is in step with the Alumni Band's vision of bonding together as an AMB family.

Kindly let your batch representatives know if u wish to attend.



2) There will be a get together on the 13th June (Friday) from 5pm at Kovan Melody.

AMB will be celebrating May babies' birthdays including Mr Lim and Mrs Lim's at the coffeeshop near Mr. Lim house at about 7pm. Those interested can go with AMB straight after band practice. In the case that you are late, do contact weishan from AMB.

Note: There will be a collection of $8 as well.

Morning all,

There will be alumni band practice on coming saturday, 3rd May.
I believe most of the Uni people and JC people would have finished their committments and exams already. So do come for practice as Mr. Lim wishes to conduct a recording. So we really need the strength.

Also, pls do be considerate enough to let us know of your attendance, whether coming or not. Pls do not waste the efforts of my committee members who used up their time and money in smsing you or posting here. I really believe they are not obliged to do so, especially to inform one entire batch of people for EVERY SATURDAY. Pls appreciate their efforts and make this alumni band a better place for everyone.

Big thanks to all those who turned up for the Post Concert Celebration, esp those who brought food! Hope the concert dvd + games were nice! Will be uploading the concert vids for alumni part and recordings soon.

hey Hi all,

1) There will be no practice on coming Saturday, but the band room will be open. Can come down to self-practise. But committee members, pls do up your area of work for the post concert report! Unfortunately (haha), there will be a meeting on Saturday at 10am, since there's no practice. Better to rush this out, before we end up forgetting what happened during the concert for our areas.

2) POST CONCERT CELEBRATION

The post concert celebration will be held on 20th April, SUNDAY, different from the earlier proposed day of Saturday. Reason for this: The function room has been booked on those dates.

AMB will be organising an outing this Sunday to celebrate AMB Day!

Details:

11am at AMK MRT Station.

The band will be travelling to many members' houses to cook for a potluck party. If we are going, we will have to bring $5 to participate in their game (cooking competition)

Hi everybody, some good news to share with everyone:

1) From the principal herself: The alumni has been given the green light to collect the band room keys ourselves on saturday, as long as we give ample time and notice to the school on when we want to come back. This marks a big move ahead for us because of the trust that the school has placed in us. Furthermore, a good thing for us that the principal is supportive.

2) After the concert last friday, the main band has received a invitation by Central CDC (Community Development Council) See more abt them here. As of now, we are looking at 6 invited and paid performances in public places, including AMK Central, Toa Payoh, Far East etc.

Mr. Lim wants the alumni band to be involved and take a few of these places as well. Similarly, a good chance to expose our band and raise our publicity. Will spread more details of these soon, after we confirm!

There will be an alumni practice on coming saturday, 120408 at 9am.

The alumni band will be running through some pieces and will do the audio recording if we clear these pieces. Please come! =)

Also, michelle has lost a silver-coloured tie during the concert. If anybody has seen an extra one lying around when we were clearing up in VCH, and helped bring it back to school, kindly let her know!

Relieved or not, AMBience VI is finally over.

Thank you everyone for helping, must admit i yelled quite a bit. Hehs.
But overall, everyone really coordinated well, adjusting to changes here and there.
Proves something about this alumni, at least to me =)

If not.. i really must say a big thank you to our very own performers, non-performing helpers, main band, junior band, conductors, teachers-in-charge, gary's cousin, luheng the videographer, audience and everybody else whom i've missed out.

Gosh, its after twelve... So its one more day to concert.

Have this msg to the exco:
I know it's been hard for us these few days. Having mutual updating sessions, last minute changes, meetings, coordinating and confirmation.
It's really not easy i know.
But seeing how everyone is concerned about this concert, and wanting to make it the best.. I'm sure its all worthwhile.

So most impt thing now, is.. DONT GAN CHIONG.
As of last Friday, everything that can be desseminated down, job allocation and anything that can be done/thought of has been done/thought of.
Let's just do it to our best.

Really appreciate everyone's help.

For performers not in exco, the least you can help too is to turn up asap on friday, bringing all your tix studs, money and $4 for the video thingy.

Let's all look forward to this concert which i believe its going to be a good one..

4 days to AMBience VI

Hi all, may not seem much to everybody but but but its 4 days to concert. Let's all look forward to it!!

And to all the leaders/exco members who have been stressed every single day of this week since last week, rushing out namelists, program booklets, ticket collecting, setting timings, doing last minute preparation work...esp amanda and sikai! who have been squeezed badly by me..

Here to say a big thank you to u all! =)
Really quite happy to see everybody working together, with the main band as well! Feels like a big family. Ha..

In any case, on concert day, there will be a videographer and photographers around. So for the hire of these services, we regret to say that we need to collect another $4 for this.

Its amb and our first time at VCH, hope to have this memory recorded down as well.

Saturday is officially the last practice before the concert. Details:
Date: 22nd Mar 08 SAT
Time: 9-5pm

PLS PLS come for this last practice. Let's just put in our effort for this last stretch. After all, we've worked so hard for months already. For the sake of everybody, just come on time, take the prac seriously and go for it! Practice will be in the hall, full run of all the pieces.

So pls, let's all just do our bit for this concert, a milestone in amb's history for all of us to share.
Good or bad memories. It's all up to us.
